Alright, what are we doing here? Well, welcome. I’m Kinglink and this is the yearly state of the channel and website, only just over 2 months late. I’ve been delaying this for quite some time because I wanted to solidify a few things and not jinx them, and admittedly E3 got in the way, and other stuff, so let’s talk about everything.
This is a script for a youtube video I have created about going to E3, I also have daily recaps for each of my days at E3 if you are more interested in that. Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3.
Hello once again. I’m Kinglink and I’m here to answer two questions. The one that I keep hearing is “Should I go to E3?” The other question is “What is your favorite game?” So yeah, we’ll tackle both of those as I talk about E3 and crown the game of the show.
This is a script for my youtube video, available below, if you are interested, please check out my E3 Day 1 Recap as well.
Hello, My name is Kinglink I’m back from my second day at E3 2019.
So just a quick note, There are three types of demos. There are Hands-on demos, where the player is physically playing the game, that’s all I saw yesterday and it’s the demos you probably have played before. Today I’ve also seen a few “hands off” demos, in these someone from the studio plays the game, talks about it, and doesn’t allow the players control. Finally, there are trailers, but what’s the point of those, you get the same experience at home, to be honest. Now theoretically, hands-off demos could be pre-recorded footage and players miming the inputs, but again we will use the benefit of the doubt for these companies, so let’s assume no one is doing that.

Hello, I’m Kinglink and I’m back from my first day of E3 2019.
E3 has been crazy, I’ve dived in head first, and got to see quite a few things on day one, as well as set up a few things for the future. But the good news is my day was packed. Just to give you an idea of how I view these games, I won’t try to be harsh on games. Almost everything here is very early, alpha, pre-alpha and more. So I’ll talk about some complaints but really, this is a hype event, and let’s give companies the benefit of the doubt when possible.
The following is a script for a Youtube video on Grind as gameplay:
Hello I’m Kinglink Let’s talk about grind as gameplay. But really today I wanted to talk about something that bothers me, grindy games.
For the video, I’ll be showing a couple of games here of a certain genre. I’ll start with one of the most famous games. Cookie Clicker, we’ll also take a look at Clicker Hero, Realm Grinder, and my new… pseudo favorite game, NGU Idle. These are all of the genre “Incremental games” or Idle games, both names fit all of them. I will talk about them in a bit. But if there is one thing this genre is known for it is grinding. I’m going to put that aside though. (spoiler I do like these games and the genre as a whole)
The following is the script from a youtube video titled. “Let’s talk about Okami?”
Hello my name is Kinglink let’s talk about Okami
I’ll be playing the opening of Okami behind the scenes. This should all be in the first hour and as such not much spoilers, it’ll illustrate what I’m going to say though.
This is the script from the following Youtube Video. Feel free to enjoy it in either format. Though note, this is the script, not a transcription, some differences remain.
This is a script from my Youtube video discussing Microtransactions and Game design. If you prefer the video, feel free to watch the video below, though this is provided so you can read the text as desired.
Hello, I’m Kinglink and today we’re going to talk about Realism in Video games, or more simply Arcade Vs Simulation gameplay.
This is a new series I’m starting, where I take a topic and just discuss it with you. If you don’t know anything about this, that’s fine the goal is to inform and consider a topic. It’s intended to make you think, and hopefully, will enlighten you to something new.
