Game Pass April 2022 Review – A Lot of Story games

I’m Kinglink and it’s April, so it’s time to look at the Game Pass April 2022 Review.

Let me start by saying these images are a bit of a lie, or at the very least incomplete. These are the official list of games coming out from Microsoft. The problem is it doesn’t show the full number of games we’re going to be talking about, since they don’t appear on the images. Which includes the first title that’s going to be shown.

I’m torn on this. Getting more games is of course better, but the games that appear as a surprise make it hard to track what’s out on the service and what’s coming up. Though the fact that it means you have more of a reason to check out this video and the rest of my catalog is good for me at least. Still, the choices are great this month, though they do seem to focus on a certain type of game.

The response last month was positive so we’ll be continuing with a nice audio selection at the beginning of every game, hope you enjoy it.

Finally, the rules, I spend an evening with every game on this list, sometimes more than one, and now I’m here to tell you what I think of them, and who should check them out. Let’s get started with the game on the screen and a surprise release.

Humble Choice April 2022 Review – Ninjas, the 1950s and Nintendo games

I’m Kinglink and it’s time for the Humble Choice April 2022 Review.

This year is kind of racing past. but we’re here with the fourth bundle and for the third time, I will say that I think Humble delivered. It’s not a perfect bundle but there’s quite a bit here. Once again we only have eight titles.

As always I check out each game for an hour and now I’m ready to tell you what I think and who is going to enjoy them. I will mention one thing. The Naruto game in this list is not available for the Asian Pacific market. Instead, you get a game called Space Accident. I won’t be reviewing but I’ll discuss that more later. That is a pretty major change, and I wanted to call it out, so if you’re not sure, check the list of games before buying the bundle.

I’m sure you’ll notice some other changes with the video.  Let me know what you think.

With all of that out of the way let’s talk about what there is in the bundle. Starting with

Humble Choice March 2022 Review – A Major lineup

I’m Kinglink and it’s time for the Humble Choice March 2022 Review.

This month we once again have 8 titles, and shockingly, Humble might actually have a solid month.  Though there is one big asterisk, right below the Mass Effect title, which we will talk about later.  However the lineup is good, so let’s see how the games are.

As always I play each game for an hour and will tell you what I think of them, if you should check them out and who might enjoy them.

Game Pass February 2022 Review – A packed month, but not a strong one.

I’m Kinglink and it’s near the end of February.  I know it’s late, but let’s do the Game Pass February 2022 review.

We have seventeen titles this month including a brand new platform.  Two of these games came on Ubisoft connect.   I believe you only get the two games right now, and you have to use their launcher, but if that’s a deal-breaker, there are enough other games to look at..  Now there were some issues this month and I’ll talk about that at the end but, in general, it’s another large month with tons of games.

Technically Game Pass also included Peggle Nights and Battlefield Bad Company 2, this month on Ea Play.  Those games are over a decade old, I mean I enjoyed Peggle a decade and a half ago, and Battlefield Bad Company 2 is popular, that’s all the coverage they deserve.

So as always, I’ve played around three to four hours on each title and I’ll tell you what I think. Let’s get started with a throwback but maybe a remaster?  I don’t know.

Humble Choice February 2022 Choice – Returning with a vengeance!

I’m Kinglink and it’s the first week of February, so it’s time for the Humble Choice February 2022 Review.

There have been some changes to Humble this month but before diving into them, let’s go over the games first.  As a rule, I have played each game for an hour on stream and now can tell you all about them, who might enjoy them, and what to expect.  It’s a short month with 28 days, so let’s just get started because time is running out.

Game Pass January 2022 Review – Starting the year with amazing indies

I’m Kinglink and it’s a couple of weeks into the new year so it’s time for the Game Pass January 2022 video.  2022, 2021… Ugh, not this again.  2022.. Ok, let’s do it.

This month we had 19 titles released, and while it’s a smaller month than December, I mean what month is going to live up to Halo Infinite, it’s still packed with games, and I found many more of the titles interesting and completed quite a few already.

At the same time there was massive news last week that may change Game Pass, but before we get there, let’s focus on this month first. We’ll start with…

Game Pass December 2021 Review – Another Mega Month.

I’m Kinglink and welcome back.  It’s almost the end of the year so it’s time to look at the Xbox Game Pass December 2021 Review…

Except wait… I normally play the Xbox Game Pass For PC, but that’s not a thing any more.  The thing is I try to look at all the games for Game Pass, though I currently only play on PC, so I’m going to think about what to call this, but for this month, this is the PC Game Pass December 2021 Review, or just the Game Pass December 2021 Review take your pick.

The two services as of now are so similar, the only real difference this month was Among Us, which is extremely fun with others, considering it reviewed.

Also just a heads up, I have a discord server called The Roundtable, please check the description or the pinned comments for more details.

With all that said, once again there are just too many games for one video this month.  So we are going to break this up once again because I don’t think anyone wants to hear me talking about games for forty minutes straight.  13 games this week, 13 games next week.  So let’s see what the first half had on tap.  Starting with.

Humble Choice November 2021 Review – Well that’s different…

I’m Kinglink and it’s November 2021, so of course it’s time for the Humble Choice November 2021 Review.

So this month is a little odd… Normally there are 12 games to titles to choose from, but this month, for some reason, Humble has released the newest choice with only 10, though you get all ten.  It’s something I’ve been asking for.  I was hoping that instead of throwing in random cheap titles to get their numbers up, fewer titles could be higher quality.  Did it work out that way? Let’s see.

I know some people will immediately dismiss this bundle and I get it.  I thought this was a joke at first, and still question it, but give me under twenty minutes and I’ll see if I can find some value in here for you.

Humble Choice June 2021 Review – Civilization 6 and more.

I’m Kinglink. It’s the first week of the month so it must be time for the Humble Choice for June 2021 Review.

Remember I only play one hour per game to get a sampling of them all, and I’ll tell you who is going to enjoy each title, and who might want to skip it.  It’s a big month with another massive headline so let’s dive in again.

Our first game is one whose base game has already been in a Humble Monthly, in the February 2019 Humble Monthly Bundle…

Yakuza Vs. Yakuza: Like A Dragon – How does an RPG fit in with three amazing Beat-em-ups?

I’m Kinglink and this week we’re doing another Head to Head. In this corner, we have Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and in the opposing corner. Well, this is different. We have not one, not two, but three Yakuza games starring Kiryu Kazuma.

So this week we’re going to be talking a lot about Yakuza but this is an interesting match up. I wanted to look at how the all-new Yakuza: Like a Dragon compares to the first three Yakuza games, 0, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2, also known as what’s currently available on PC. Sega… fix that.

Yeah, that line didn’t age well, I wrote this script before Sega announced the news. It sounds like EVERY mainline Yakuza game will be on PC by March 25th next year and on Xbox One as well. This doesn’t invalidate anything I say in this video and technically, there are only four Yakuza games on PC as I wrote this.
