Humble Monthly Bundle Early Unlock Wrap Up for January 2019

Welcome again,

Another month has passed, and it’s time to wrap up the Humble Monthly Bundle for January 2019.  I’m not sure if I’m ready to give up 2018 yet, but in five days we’ll be rolling over till next year, at least we got some good games out of it.

This month Humble Bundle Released three games.  It’s not a perfect list but still a quality one.  As always, I’ll quickly go over each of the games here, along with attaching my videos and links to the full written reviews if you want to read the whole thing.  A full recount of why you should buy this bundle is at the bottom.

Just Cause 3: This is a game I played and adored a couple years ago.  It’s fun, explosive, and big.  However, it still has performance issues and I was unable to solve them after many hours of working on it.  The weird thing is it is still a fun game with this flaw, and getting it for 12 bucks is a great price to find out how it performs for you.

Project Cars 2: A make your own racing game that lacks a focused progression mode, but does allow players of any skill level to compete.  A more simulation based physics engine shines here.  If you enjoy driving or racing, it’s a great addition to your library.  You can think of it as a version of Forza or Gran Turismo that’s available on Steam with a little more focus on a realistic simulation.

Wizard of Legend: This is a rogue-lite where you play a magician going through a series of trials composed of 10 levels.  Interesting and fun with a focus on synergistic magic builds.  It might be a little easy for people who enjoy Rogue-lite games, but definitely worth a look for those who are curious.

So with all three games reviewed with links available right there, let’s talk about the bundle itself.

I am a big fan of this month’s Humble Bundle.  I find Just Cause 3 to be quite fun, even if it gave me a number of performance issues.  Project Cars 2 gave me the thrill of driving and speed once again, and Wizard of Legend gave me an excellent rogue-lite that I felt I could beat.  Each game is good for a different group of people, and they all got excellent scores.  If any game appeals to you, I’d recommend picking it up just for that game and trying out the others, as you probably will enjoy them as well at some level.

If you’re interested in the Humble Monthly Bundle you can find it on their site. Here’s a link if you’re curious.  I’m excited to see what the first real bundle of 2019 brings us and I’ll be back again next month to review it as well.

Until then, thanks for reading.

And as always this is done free of ads, if you enjoyed this recap and would like to thank me, I ask that you please consider subscribing to my Youtube channel, that gets you better access to my content, and me a subscriber so I can show publishers that there’s a desire for me to cover their games.
