Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is the fourteenth or fifteenth Traveller’s Tale Lego game, depending on how you want to count The Lego Movie Videogame. I’ve actually played every single Lego game up to this point, with the exception of Lego Star Wars 3. Something about these games speaks to me. Whether it be the gamification of Legos, or the Legoification of movies, or just the simplistic gameplay to see what might happen next, I’m there. So let’s see if Lego can keep this train running after all these titles.

E3 2018: Day Two

So Day 2 arrived, instead of an 11 o’clock start time, it was now a 9:00 start time. That’s two fewer hours of potential sleep. Yet there I was at 8:40 ready to tackle the second day. I knew I had to do either Nintendo’s booth first or Kingdom Hearts 3. I chose Nintendo’s and […]

E3 2018: Day One

So on Tuesday, I mentioned I was going to E3, and I posted a number of tweets about the games I saw, but I figured 280 characters weren’t enough to talk about some games, and I would collect some opinions in a post. When everyone was lining up, I looked around and noticed a face […]

I now have put in 9 hours into the sequel and, well, let’s see if it really is better.

Alien: Isolation Review

Played on Windows
Also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, macOS, Linux.

I have no idea why I played this. I’m not a huge Aliens fan, in fact, the only movies I’ve seen are Aliens 3 and Alien Resurrection. I just loathe horror in all its forms. So clearly I’m not the target audience for Alien: Isolation, yet I own it, I wanted to see how it accomplishes its scares, and so I gave it a shot.
