It’s almost the middle of July but Humble Monthly Bundle got a late start and so here we are. Time to preview the Early Unlocks.
The good news is that this is an impressive month. Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a major game, Surviving Mars is an interesting accompaniment, the only question is how much of these games will I have time to play before the end of the month. So let’s dive in.
We start with the game I’ve played previously, and I’ll link my full review.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
This month’s first Humble Monthly Bundle Early Unlock is Kingdom Come: Deliverance This was a kickstarter that came out last year and there was a lot of fanfare. It’s more of a historical fiction game focusing on the 1500s Europe.
It boasts a strong combat system, and the first few combats I participated in didn’t disappoint. There’s a lot here, and honestly. It feels like a realistic form of Skyrim, just from the size and scope of the first hour. It’s a long game, at least 40 hours to play, and many people have put in triple digits of playtime so if you’re looking for quantity, this game has it, but we of course will judge it on quality when it’s time.
The other Early Unlock for August 2019 is a game called Surviving Mars. While this is a smaller game than Kingdom Come, it’s still a packed game, reminiscent of most base-building games, particularly Civilization, Cities Skylines, or Factorio. Though with perhaps less guidance than those games.
Surviving Mars though is quite interesting, and I want to play more to see if I can figure out more of what the purpose or end game really is.
So with that said, there has been a few changes as mentioned in the state of the site I still will attempt to cover these games as best I can. Along with a few more interesting choices coming up, such as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
If you are interested in my coverage of either game or future Humble Monthly Bundles, you might want to subscribe to either my website on the right column to get email notifications of what’s coming next or on my YouTube channel.
Until then. Thanks for reading, and I’ll be back shortly with more.
