Hello, I’m Kinglink and today we’re going to talk about Realism in Video games, or more simply Arcade Vs Simulation gameplay.
This is a new series I’m starting, where I take a topic and just discuss it with you. If you don’t know anything about this, that’s fine the goal is to inform and consider a topic. It’s intended to make you think, and hopefully, will enlighten you to something new.
Apparently, I’m a fan of cooking games. I never knew that but since launching this site nine months ago, I’ve reviewed Cook Serve Delicious, Overcooked, and even have Chef on deck. Well if that’s the case, I guess that’s why I’m back here again, taking a look at the Iron Chef TV show Meets Bejeweled Twist. This is Battle Chef Brigade.

So it’s time for the first bundle of 2019, February’s bundle… funny how that works isn’t it? I’m here with your with another installment of looks at the new Humble Monthly Bundle games. This month started with two but a late arrival appeared last week and we even have a look at that game. As always the games are listed below with a short synopsis and the videos
Sonic Mania is easily one of the best Sonic games that have come out in recent years, as I stated in a recent review (link this). But the train didn’t stop there. In addition to the excellent game, the team that brought us Sonic Mania took it a step further and produced DLC. I guess everything can’t be retro with this game.
Sonic Mania made a big splash as it was created after a number of years. It was created by Christian Whitehead, who made fan games of Sonic and eventually a history of working with Sega on a number of ports of their properties. To have a studio take a fan game idea and want to make an official game out of it is surprising. To see it done with a major property such as Sonic makes it even more impressive. The question is whether Sonic Mania lives up to the legacy of Sonic.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is the follow up to Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor, a rather popular action adventure game from 2014. Shadow of Mordor was quite popular and I enjoyed it quite a bit, so I was looking forward to Shadow of War. It stayed on my radar but there was a reason I was hesitating to pull the trigger.

Welcome to the End of Year Celebration 2018 edition, the first of its kind. This is part 1, I’m your host, Kinglink and today I hope you’re ready to hear about some games, actually a lot of games, we’re going to do what I’m calling a rapid look.
I picked up Slime Rancher because of how it looked. You can see the title screen below and it’s a really cute and charming game with adorable art. I’m a fan of Stardew Valley and was hopeful that Slime Rancher would give me a similar experience with a focus on building and improving a ranch over time. The question is, does it live up to the look and style?

Another month has passed, and it’s time to wrap up the Humble Monthly Bundle for January 2019. I’m not sure if I’m ready to give up 2018 yet, but in five days we’ll be rolling over till next year, at least we got some good games out of it.
This month Humble Bundle Released three games. It’s not a perfect list but still a quality one.
