This month brings us four games to talk about, and a new video just for you. Again I created a quick recap video of the month to summarize the three games as I do down below and stepped up the production by giving a little video of each game.
The idea of time travel has been one that has fascinated people for centuries and likely longer. The idea of time loops is a little more recent and while it’s been in pop culture for the last 70 years, it grew in popularity with Groundhog Day. Minit is the latest game to jump on this trend and try to do something unique with it. Does it?
Absolver is a free-roaming fighting game with a voiceless character who explores an unknown world where he must face bosses, can find other players to help or hurt, and discover the land at his own pace… So yeah, it’s Dark Souls as a brawler.
Mutant Year Zero is a tactical strategy game mixed with an adventure game producing an interesting combination. Quite a few compare it directly to XCOM for its tactical and turn-based gameplay and that makes sense. At the same time, there is a lot more to Mutant Year Zero than just a simple clone of another tactical game.
Northgard’s story starts pretty simply, it’s a revenge story, where your family has been slaughtered, and you’re out to make those who did pay. Simple, but efficient setting off a great course of events. The odd thing is this isn’t a typical action or adventure game, instead what we have here is a throwback to the old days of the RTS. But is it any good?

This month brings us three major games to talk about, and an all new video. Yes I created a quick recap video of the month to summarize the three games as I do down below.
I’m a fan of card games, whether it be Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, deck building like Dominion, or just as a piece in more complicated board games, like Agricola, card games are great. So I approached Cultist Simulator with excitement and hopeful exuberance. Sadly that hope wasn’t going to last.
Warhammer and Warhammer 40k are some of the largest gaming lores around. They span over 50 titles and expansions and is probably closer to 75 if one took the time to count them all. We’ll be looking at a sequel to a major hit in the franchise, Warhammer Vermintide 2. Can it be an interesting take on its own or will the knowledge of the missing lore hurt it?
The Earth is under attack again. This time insects are invading, it’s time to defend the Earth and everyone’s looking to you to join the Earth Defense Force. Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair has it all, big moments, giant insects and a ton of action. Will it be a blockbuster or a B-movie action flick?
