We return once again to the land of Danganronpa. I’ve already covered the original Danganronpa and Danganronpa 2 which left two more games for me to cover. This time around we are looking at a title originally launched on the Vita, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.
Zachtronics has been one of the studios that I’ve continuously supported. I’ve owned and played all their games from this team, and have loved pretty much all of them. So about a month ago when it was announced that Zachtronics would be putting out a Visual Novel, I was sold just by the studio’s history even if it was a departure from the type of game they are known for.
It’s time to look at the Early Unlocks for Humble Monthly Bundle for September 2019. This month had a pair of game, Slay the Spire and Squad. Slay the Spire has been on my list of games to play for quite a while so I’m thrilled to finally cover it.
Slay the Spire is a unique game, it combines rogue-lite experiences with a repetitive and randomized dungeon, along with the ideas of deckbuilding which are popular in some Euro board games. It can be somewhat similar to Dominion, while still retaining a dungeon crawler and succeeds at getting the feeling to combine into a unique game.
Hello VR aficionados, I’m Kinglink and today… we’ll talk about VR.
So as I mentioned in my yearly update, I got a new computer, and I picked up an Oculus Rift S. I was excited because my experiences at E3 showed me that people still are supporting VR devices a bit. So I wanted to see what was already out. When I got home I bought a bunch of games on Steam during the Steam sale, and almost all of them are VR enabled.
The Messenger has continued to be heralded as an important Metroidvania and Platformer of last year, as a fan of both genres it has remained on my radar, and finally, I had an opening and picked up The Messenger and have now played through it. So is it actually a great Metroidvania and Platformer? Let’s see.
So with just reviewing Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, I wasn’t sure if I should cover Wolfenstein: Youngblood back to back, but after playing the newest Wolfenstein I actually changed my mind, It felt right to cover Youngblood for a few reasons, but ultimately, I think as a cautionary tale of being careful of what you wish for.
